Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Friday that the need for Kosovo and Serbia to recognize each others documents is evident.
Kurti said in a Twitter post after meeting with European Union envoy Miroslav Lajcak that they discussed the ongoing Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. “As the expiration date on the car plates agreement is approaching the need for reciprocal recognition of documents is evident. Kosovo is committed to a principled dialogue and agreement centered on mutual recognition,” Kurti tweeted.
Lajcak said in a separate Twitter post that they discussed the current situation and the next steps in the dialogue and the normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations. “Had an important discussion with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti…The time for progress is now,” he tweeted.
Kurti and Lajcak met on the margins of the annual Delphi Forum in Greece.
